I am a new reporter at Nepean This Week. I was born and raised in Nepean and went to high school at J.S. Woodsworth S.S. Since I always had an interest in writing and a natural curiosity, I decided to enroll in the joint journalism degree at Algonquin College and the University of Ottawa. I studied for four years and received my degree this past June. As a requirement of my degree I did a co-op placement at CBC Radio here in Ottawa. I worked as a researcher for the investigative unit of National Radio News. I was then offered a contract position which I worked at until the end of September. I am interested in gaining community reporter experience, hence why I looked into working for Nepean This Week. I hope to hone my writing and reporting skills as well as meet many residents of the community. Please don’t hesitate to contact me. I would love to hear any story ideas you have about yourself, your friends and family, or the community you live in.
